Cross-modal Interaction in Natural and Artificial Cognitive Systems
(CINACS)
funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungs-gemeinschaft, DFG), the State of Hamburg, and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, is seeking highly qualified
and motivated candidates for 12 Doctoral Student Positions at the University of Hamburg beginning April 1st, 2006, or later.
The IRTG-CINACS offers a 3-year doctoral program based at the University of Hamburg and at Tsinghua University, Beijing. The dissertation projects will be carried out at the University of Hamburg. A significant part (up to 6 months) of the studies will be performed at Tsinghua University. The interdisciplinary program provides exciting research opportunities for research on multisensory perception and crossmodal information processing.
量子芝诺效应 quantum zeno effect

最近大概因为几篇文章的关系，英文 blog 圈内，关于量子力学、量子计算的讨论很多。Yin Zhangqi 预告要写个评论，我很期待。
其中涉及一个量子芝诺效应 quantum zeno effect，我把以前写的一个相关帖子转载过来。我比较得意的是文章最后的例子。：）

量子力学有一个基本点：观察会改变被观察的系统。由于不搞理论，一直也没有深入探究过。这些天，一个同事提出从quantum zeno effect来解释一个实验，使得我对此做了些阅读。
前一阵子犯过个不大不小的错误，当时“据理力争”，事后经过具体模拟计算，发现自己是错的，相当尴尬。涉及的问题，曾经困惑我很久，后来自认为理清了，然后就比较确信，因为觉得是经过思考的。
这些以为正确其实错误的知识，就像个人知识体系中的暗礁，平时觉察不出来，撞到时，后果可能会比较严重。为了不再碰到这样子尴尬的事情，我想有必要在这里思考一下这个问题，并希望听听朋友们的意见。
处理知识暗礁问题大概涉及两个方面：减少暗礁和回避暗礁。

去年注意到起源于英国的 Cafe Scientifique 的时候，想过在中国举行这样子活动的前景。今天发现，这早已经在中国开始了。
活动称作科技咖啡馆，由英国文化协会中国办公室组织。活动简介：
所谓科技咖啡馆，是一个让你在品尝咖啡或是茶的时候，就可以同时兴趣盎然地探讨最新科学和技术发展的自由学术聚会。这类的聚会通常都是在咖啡馆，酒吧，餐馆甚至是剧场里，总之是远离传统学术环境和氛围的地方。
