基于“RNA世界”假说,从RNA分子从自折叠、自我复制、clay介导的RNA多聚化,到脂质分子的起源,自组装成脂质泡(双层脂分子形成的膜自发融合产生vesicles),脂膜的上脂分子运动活跃,脂质泡可以“生长”,最后由RNA和脂质分子组装成最原始的细胞。这些动画给我们提供了一副早期地球上生命诞生之初的分子进化图景。

作者简介:Animations and illustrations were made by Janet Iwasa, a 2006-2008 NSF Discovery Corps Postdoctoral Fellow, in collaboration with Jack Szostak and his laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Current Science and Technology team at the Museum of Science.
