在作者排行中，排在首位的为美国戈登生命科学研究所的周国城（Kuo-Chen Chou），自2007年以来他共发表了17篇热门论文，包含了多种用于预测蛋白质位点的测序工具。排在前10位的华人科学家还包括：上海交通大学沈红斌（第四，13篇论文）、东华大学何吉欢（第六，10篇论文）以及美国乔治亚理工学院王中林（Zhong Lin Wang）（第十，9篇论文）。
