Science 2.0: Great New Tool, or Great Risk? 这是文章的题目，有兴趣的可去看看。文章的话题，比如：科学界对 blog，wiki 等 web 2.0 技术的接纳利用；开放研究，等等，格致上都有过涉猎。读完这篇文章，唯一的感触是：科学界的惯性真大。

这篇文章的主要亮点是：它其实还是草稿，作者鼓励读者评论，他会根据这些反馈改进，正式的印刷版本要在几个月后才出来。作者把这种过程叫“networked journalism”。

Web 2.0 and software tools have a strong drive from commercial interests.. It is slow for scientists to pick up because 1) of smaller community, which means easily under-served; 2) of difficult workflow to automate.
Individual institutions spend millions on IT infrastructures. But it's a less democratic process than user-driven web 2.0.

今年我也订了科学美国人的中文版《环球科学》，觉得蛮不错的，只不过12元一本太贵了

I read the article and felt

I read the article and felt it a bit superficial. It didn't really cover open access and open source. The latter is the underlying technical and inspirational force. And the former is an embodiment of a real change.
PLoS is actually doing very important experiments with scientific publishing. PLoS ONE should be an important case to discuss "Science 2.0".
