如果不是没有 X 可用 ， scilab 在 UNIX 类系统也非常方便，主流的 Linux 都带有 scilab
用 scilab 建议加上 pvm

Scilab is not free software as its license prohibits commercial using of a modified version.
Octave
Octave 个人试用的感觉在Win下很慢,虽说在语法上和Matlab是一样的,但速度却差了很多. Scilab虽然不是Free的,那只是用了不的license,用户可以免费的使用,功能上也比Octave强大些.
用过Scilab，帮助文件
用过Scilab，帮助文件做的实在太烂了。语法也比较混乱。用完matlab后再用Scilab有种忍无可忍的感觉。
希望Scilab能够改进一下。
没办法，免费软件也只能这样了。
