I recommend you to read the website of www.di.com.
As far as I know, the most important parameters here are just internal gain, propotional gain and setpoint voltage for Tapping Mode of AFM. You should adjust these parameters to fit the materials surface you want to detect. If you want, I can send you some tutorials and manual of AFM machines.
